ELA
*The learners have assignments on noredink.com to complete each week. They may need help with the concepts they are working on. There are help tabs, but some tasks are challenging. They can click on "assignments" to see what is due and when.
*They can also work on readtheory.org. The program levels them and gives them activities based on what they need so there aren't assignments they need to follow.
Math
The learners typically have assignments in their Student Activity Book (SAB) or Homework and Remembering Book (H&R) which are listed o the Homework Planner of this site. I encourage learners to help one another by taking the role of Convincer or Skeptic. The Convincer explains the solution and why it it makes sense. The Skeptic listens carefully and asks clarifying questions to either better understand the problem or challenge the Convincer to articulate her thinking more clearly.
If learners have all homework completed and understand it, they are encouraged to practice skills on Prodigy .
Science
Students have individual Genius Hour projects they may want to research. They may have assignments on NewsELA or in their Science Fusion book.
